Port Hope Public Library will be offering Library Takeout pickup service only at the Mary J. Benson Branch at 31 Queen Street in Port Hope. The service is offered Mondays through Fridays from 10 am to 4 pm for the duration of the current provinical COVID-19 lockdown. Library patrons are asked to make their hold requests online through their library account at www.porthopepubliclibrary.ca or call and speak to staff at 905-885-4712 during hours of operations. Please continue to return all materials in the Book Drop.
Packages are limited, so please place a hold as you would for a book to reserve your supplies. If you like, send a picture of your craft by email to email@example.com to have it posted to social media.
During the Covid 19 provincial lockdown anyone who requires copies or printing can send a PDF to this email with all the details and Library staff will be happy to copy or print your documents. Copies are .25 per page for black & white; .50 per page for colur printouts. Your documents can be collected throught the Library Takeout process - staff will leave your printouts in your vehicle and retrieve payment.
New Library Cards during Lockdown
Online registration is available to Municipality of Port Hope residents who do not already have a Port Hope Public Library card during the provinical lockdown. Please forward details to this email and Library staff will be in touch to provide a temporary library card you can use during Library Takeout and to access the Library's online resources like Flipster magazines, Libby eBooks and Mango Languages.
