Internet and Computer Access
Port Hope Public Library offers free Internet and computer access at both branches.
Available at the Mary J. Benson Branch
- High-speed Internet access
- WiFi so you can access the Internet anywhere from within the building or the parking lot, just open your browser and login as 'Library Guest', there is no password
- Computerized booking system that lets you use your library card to book and schedule your computer sessions up to two days in advance
- 7 adult Internet stations
- 1 Genealogy Research Stations with access to the Internet and the CemSearch cemetery record database
- Microfilm printer-reader workstation with extra large monitor for viewing Newspaper pages
- Microfilm reader, very low tech
- Library catalogue stations in the Adult Library and in the Children’s Library
- Printing from all Internet and Word Processing stations at a charge of $0.25/page or $0.50/page for colour

Choose the length of and type of session that suits your needs.
- The Internet workstations offer 60-minute sessions for email, chat and surfing the Net
- There is access to Microsoft Office programs and one workstation includes a scanner
- Internet and Computer users are allowed 3 sessions per day
- Computer sessions may be booked up to 2 days in advance

- Printing and photocopying at a charge of $0.25/page or $0.50/page for colour
