Friends of Port Hope Public Library
Port Hope Public Library Board invites the community to be part of a Friends of the Library group. The group has an executive and meets monthly - everyone is welcome. Meeting dates can be found on the Events Calendar or please ask Library staff. Come out to learn all about how Friends support libraries through advocacy, building awareness, fundraising, volunteering and program support. For more information about the Friends or to express an interest in joining our Friends email it to phfriendsol@gmail.com
Current Fundraising Campaign
PHPL’s Friends of the Library have launched a two-year community fundraiser to refresh the children’s area at the Mary J. Benson Branch. The money will be used to expand print & digital collections, upgrade furniture and study spaces and purchase maker’s boxes, which will be available very soon. Staff are working with the Port Hope arts community to add some colourful local art to the children’s space. The Friends thank all the donors who have helped the project and are excited for the second year of the campaign.
For more information about this campaign, please read the information sheet here.
