Volunteer Opportunities

The Library has volunteer opportunities for teens and adults. Some Library programs and services would not be possible without the generous support of our volunteers. Please contact Lisa O'Leary by email at loleary@phpl.ca or by phone to 905-885-4712 ext 3. We require all individuals interested in voluteering to complete a Volunteer Application prior to consideration. Here is access to a fillable PDF that you can complete, save and send to Lisa over email or print and drop off next time you're at the library. 

Library Board of Trustees

The Library Board is responsible for governance and policies for the Library. Members are appointed by Municipal Council. To contact the Board, click here to submit an email.

Friends of the Library

Port Hope Public Library Board invites the community to be part of a Friends of the Library group. The group has an executive and meets monthly - everyone is welcome. Meeting dates can be found on the Events Calendar or please ask Library staff. Come out to learn all about how Friends support libraries through advocacy, building awareness, fundraising, volunteering and program support.
